Women of Distinction Nominations
Girl Scouts of West Central Florida (GSWCF)
announces an open call for nominations for its prestigious Women of
Distinction recognition. Women do not have to be Girl Scouts to be
nominated. Nominations will be accepted through Monday, Nov. 30;
applications can be downloaded from the council’s website; applications can
be downloaded from the council’s website, www.gswcf.org.
Do you know a woman who exemplifies extraordinary civic, professional and/or
philanthropic commitment and achievement through gifts of time, talent and
treasure, making her community a better place? Is she is a positive role
model for girls? Does she demonstrate a commitment to the advocacy of
improving the lives of women and/or girls?
Visit www.gswcf.org to download a nomination form; all nominations are due
Monday, Nov. 30. Those selected as a 2010 Woman of Distinction will be
honored at a luncheon Tuesday, March 23 at A La Carte Pavilion in Tampa.
To be considered, Women of Distinction nominees must live within Girl Scouts
of West Central Florida’s geographic boundaries (Citrus, Hernando,
Hillsborough, Marion, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk and Sumter counties); nominees
are not required to have been Girl Scouts.
The Women of Distinction Selection Committee and Girl Scouts of West Central
Florida staff will review the nominations received on or before Nov. 30 and
make their decisions.
The ninth annual Women of Distinction luncheon on March 23, 2010 – an event
that honors women who have achieved success in their chosen fields and who
serve as role models for girls and young women – benefits Girl Scouts of
West Central Florida.
